Android Software Engineer

About the role

EPAM is looking for an Android Software Engineer to build and enhance native Android applications using a Kotlin‑first stack. You will work closely with product owners, UX/UI designers and backend teams in an Agile environment to deliver high‑quality mobile experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain high‑performance native Android apps using Kotlin.
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers to create responsive, Material Design‑compliant screens.
• Integrate applications with backend microservices via RESTful and GraphQL APIs.
• Write clean, maintainable, and testable code and participate in code reviews.
• Create unit and UI tests to ensure stability and reliability.
• Monitor and optimise app performance, battery usage, and memory consumption.
• Support the preparation and release of updates to the Google Play Store.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of hands‑on experience developing native Android applications.
• Strong command of Kotlin and solid understanding of the Android SDK.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams and using tools such as Jira and Confluence.
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher.
