Environmental Assistant – Construction Projects

About the role

The Environmental Assistant supports the implementation, control and monitoring of environmental management on underground engineering and construction projects. The role ensures compliance with current environmental regulations, contractual requirements, corporate standards and project commitments.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the technical and operational management of environmental aspects of the project.
• Verify that construction activities are carried out under controlled, safe environmental conditions and in line with applicable legislation.
• Support the preparation and maintenance of project documentation related to environmental monitoring, impact control and compliance.
• Monitor environmental impacts, prevent deviations and provide accurate information for audits, inspections and management reports.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external authorities to ensure timely resolution of environmental issues.

Required profile

• Degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science or a related field.
• Knowledge of national and EU environmental legislation applicable to construction projects.
• Ability to work both on‑site and in an office environment.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Experience in civil engineering or construction projects is a plus.
