Solution Architect

About the role

We are seeking a Solution Architect to act as the technical authority across a portfolio of digital products built on a shared TypeScript/Node.js stack and AWS. You will guide architecture governance, security remediation, and resilience hardening while aligning engineering teams and stakeholders on technical direction.

Key responsibilities

• Assess and document current architecture across the product portfolio, highlighting risks and improvement opportunities.
• Validate architecture decisions from delivery pods to ensure consistency with shared standards.
• Own and drive the security remediation backlog across services and platforms.
• Lead resilience hardening by defining and validating reliability patterns and operational safeguards.
• Drive cloud account separation and restrict non‑production environment access.
• Provide technical oversight for infrastructure‑as‑code practices and consolidation across pods.
• Guide platform initiatives such as pipeline security scanning and operational metrics foundations.
• Advise on event‑streaming reliability patterns for Kafka‑based consumer services.
• Run architecture walkthroughs during onboarding and act as the primary technical escalation point.
• Communicate architecture trade‑offs clearly to engineers and stakeholders.

Required profile

• 3+ years of solution architecture experience with distributed systems.
• Strong stakeholder leadership to align engineering and non‑technical partners on trade‑offs.
• Proven project ownership driving cross‑team initiatives and technical governance.
• Advanced proficiency in English (B2+/C1).

Required skills

• TypeScript and Node.js
• AWS (including ECS, Lambda, SQS, DynamoDB, Secrets Manager)
• Terraform for multi‑account cloud setups
• Kafka (Confluent Kafka preferred)
• Datadog or similar observability tooling
• Content Management Systems
• Security engineering (authentication, authorization, secrets, vulnerability remediation)
• Resilience engineering (retries, circuit breakers, DLQs, health checks)
• Infrastructure‑as‑code practices
• Event‑driven architecture for streaming and consumer reliability
• AI coding assistants for architecture spikes and security pattern implementation
