Contracts Formation Specialist

About the role

Bechtel is seeking a Contracts Formation Specialist to join its Mining and Metals team in Santiago. The role focuses on the formation and administration of sub‑contracts for medium‑size projects, ensuring that all contractual documents align with prime contract requirements and project objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the preparation and review of bid request packages and develop contract operating procedures.
• Prepare commercial terms and conditions for project contract documents, incorporating prime contract requirements.
• Participate in defining scope, creating contract plans, schedules, forecasts and budgets for small to medium projects.
• Coordinate contract execution plans with engineering and construction teams to ensure seamless integration.
• Develop and maintain the Supply Chain Assignment Schedule and assign responsibilities.
• Review evaluations with global business unit managers and manage low‑to‑medium risk sub‑contracts.
• Provide functional direction and supervision to assigned subcontract personnel.

Required profile

• Experience in subcontract formation or administration within construction, engineering or related industries.
• Strong understanding of contract compliance, risk management and project budgeting.
• Ability to work closely with engineering, construction and supply‑chain teams.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills.
