Senior AWS Cloud Engineer

About the role

Merapar, a European software consultancy with a Chilean office, is looking for a Senior AWS Cloud Engineer to join its UK‑based video platform team. You will help design, build and maintain cloud solutions for global media and utility clients.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement AWS infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
• Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments.
• Support and optimise existing cloud environments.
• Configure networking solutions on AWS, including VPCs, subnets, and security groups.
• Collaborate within agile squads alongside developers and product owners.

Required profile

• Fluent English (interviews conducted in English).
• 8+ years of professional IT experience, with at least 3 years focused on AWS and IaC.
• Strong programming background in Python or willingness to learn it.
• Proven track record of delivering high‑quality cloud solutions and documentation.
• Ability to translate functional requirements into technical designs.
• Resident of Santiago, Chile.
