Lead Android Software Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Lead Android Software Engineer to drive the delivery, quality, and performance of modern Kotlin‑first native Android applications. You will collaborate closely with product, UX/UI, and backend teams to ship scalable features and maintain smooth releases.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain high‑performance native Android apps using Kotlin.
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers to create responsive, Material Design‑compliant screens.
• Integrate the app with backend microservices and RESTful/GraphQL APIs.
• Write clean, maintainable, and testable code; conduct code reviews.
• Create unit and UI tests to ensure stability and reliability.
• Evaluate and improve performance, battery efficiency, and memory usage.
• Coordinate preparation and rollout of updates to the Google Play Store.

Required profile

• 5+ years of hands‑on experience building native Android applications.
• Strong proficiency in Kotlin and deep knowledge of Android SDKs.
• Solid background in modern Android architecture components and patterns such as MVVM, MVI, and Clean Architecture.
• Experience with Dependency Injection (Hilt/Dagger) and asynchronous programming (Coroutines/Flow).
• Proficiency with Android Studio, Gradle, and Git.
• Practical experience using Jetpack Compose or XML‑based layouts.
• Ability to write tests using JUnit and Espresso.
• Comfortable working in an Agile/Scrum environment and using Jira and Confluence.
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher.
