Senior Data Engineer – Snowflake & Cloud Platforms

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and cloud data warehouses. You will work closely with backend and platform teams to enable analytics, AI, and self‑service reporting across our client ecosystem.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and architectures for analytical and operational workloads.
• Develop and optimise ETL/ELT processes, ensuring efficient extraction, transformation, and loading from diverse sources.
• Integrate data pipelines into cloud‑native applications in collaboration with backend and platform engineers.
• Manage and optimise cloud data warehouses, primarily BigQuery, focusing on performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.
• Implement data governance, security, and privacy best practices to meet company policies and regulations.
• Collaborate with analytics teams to define data models and enable self‑service BI capabilities.
• Create and maintain data documentation, including data dictionaries, lineage tracking, and metadata management.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimise data pipelines to ensure high availability and reliability.
• Stay current with emerging data‑engineering technologies and continuously improve the data infrastructure.

Required profile

• Certified SnowPro.
• 5+ years of experience in data engineering, building modern cloud‑based data platforms.
• Proven experience collaborating with distributed teams across North America and Latin America.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Snowflake, including performance tuning, security, and data modelling.
• Advanced SQL skills for analytics engineering and data transformation.
• Proficiency in Python for data processing, automation, and orchestration.
• Experience with dbt or similar analytics‑engineering frameworks.
• Familiarity with orchestration tools such as Dagster or Apache Airflow.
• Experience supporting machine‑learning, feature‑engineering, or AI‑driven use cases.
• Solid understanding of data privacy, governance, and compliance best practices.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and a delivery‑oriented mindset.
• Excellent English communication and collaboration skills.
