Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) – Hybrid/Remote

About the role

Apply Digital is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join its globally distributed team. This hybrid role blends SRE responsibilities with service‑desk support for multiple UK e‑commerce clients, ensuring platform reliability and smooth incident handling.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor platform health across client environments using Grafana, Prometheus, or similar tools.
• Respond to, triage, and resolve incidents following runbooks and escalation paths.
• Participate in post‑incident reviews and produce post‑mortem documentation.
• Support the Service Desk with technical triaging, classification, and resolution.
• Maintain and improve observability dashboards, alerts, SLI/SLO tracking, and operational documentation.
• Identify recurring issues and propose automation or process improvements.
• Participate in an on‑call rotation covering alternating weekends.
• Collaborate with the EMEA team during shift overlap for seamless handoffs.

Required profile

• Strong proficiency in written and spoken English.
• 2–3 years of experience in SRE, platform operations, or a technical Service Desk role.
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Grafana or Prometheus.
• Solid understanding of incident management processes, including triaging, escalation, and post‑mortems.
