Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) – Hybrid/Remote

About the role

Apply Digital is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to join its globally distributed team. The role blends SRE responsibilities with Service Desk support, ensuring the reliability of multiple UK e‑commerce platforms while operating in a hybrid or fully remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor platform health across client environments using Grafana, Prometheus, or comparable observability tools.
• Respond to and triage incidents following established runbooks and escalation paths.
• Participate in post‑incident reviews and produce clear post‑mortem documentation.
• Support the Service Desk with technical triaging, incident classification, and resolution.
• Maintain and enhance dashboards, alerts, SLI/SLO tracking, and operational documentation.
• Identify recurring issues and propose automation or process improvements to reduce toil.
• Take part in an on‑call rotation covering alternating weekends and ensure smooth handoffs with the EMEA team.

Required profile

• 2–3 years of experience in SRE, platform operations, or a technical Service Desk role.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
• Ability to work autonomously across different time zones, preferably aligned with PT or ET.
