Social Performance, Human Rights & Security Manager

About the role

The Social Performance, Human Rights & Security Manager will support Glencore’s Copper operations by integrating social, human‑rights and security considerations into business planning and execution. Reporting to the Global Head of HSEC & Human Rights – Copper, the role provides strategic leadership, technical expertise, governance oversight and operational support across multiple regions.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic guidance and technical support on social performance, human rights and security to Copper assets.
• Partner with regional and asset leadership to identify, assess and mitigate social and reputational risks.
• Develop and implement strategies for community consultation, Indigenous Peoples engagement, cultural heritage management and social investment.
• Ensure appropriate controls and mitigation measures are in place for land acquisition, resettlement and socio‑economic development initiatives.
• Monitor emerging social and stakeholder risks and advise proactive management actions.
• Oversee security risk management, aligning security programs with human‑rights commitments and corporate standards.
• Promote alignment with international human‑rights standards and responsible security practices.

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering strategic leadership and technical expertise in social performance, human rights and security within large industrial or natural‑resource operations.
• Strong governance oversight capabilities and ability to support regional and asset teams.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex stakeholder engagement, community consultation and Indigenous Peoples relations.
• Experience in risk assessment, mitigation planning and monitoring of social and security risks.
