About the role
Toptal is seeking a proactive Account Manager to oversee a portfolio of small‑and‑medium business (SMB) clients. In this remote position you will act as a trusted advisor, aligning client objectives with Toptal’s talent solutions and driving revenue growth.
Key responsibilities
- Own growth, retention, and success of a diverse SMB account portfolio.
- Develop and execute proactive account plans that match client business goals with Toptal services.
- Conduct regular, insight‑driven check‑ins to gather feedback, assess account health, and uncover new challenges.
- Identify and qualify expansion opportunities across marketing, finance, and technical departments.
- Execute tailored outreach campaigns, including Salesloft cadences, to educate clients on the full range of Toptal offerings.
- Provide ongoing guidance throughout project lifecycles, addressing concerns with a client‑first mindset.
Required profile
- Mid‑level professional with strong relationship‑building and consultative selling skills.
- Ability to work independently, exercise discretion, and make judgment calls.
- Excellent communication in English; remote work experience preferred.
- Self‑motivated, growth‑oriented, and comfortable navigating complex client needs.
