Account Manager (SMB) – Remote

About the role

Toptal is seeking a proactive Account Manager to oversee a portfolio of small‑and‑medium business (SMB) clients. In this remote position you will act as a trusted advisor, aligning client objectives with Toptal’s talent solutions and driving revenue growth.

Key responsibilities

• Own growth, retention, and success of a diverse SMB account portfolio.
• Develop and execute proactive account plans that match client business goals with Toptal services.
• Conduct regular, insight‑driven check‑ins to gather feedback, assess account health, and uncover new challenges.
• Identify and qualify expansion opportunities across marketing, finance, and technical departments.
• Execute tailored outreach campaigns, including Salesloft cadences, to educate clients on the full range of Toptal offerings.
• Provide ongoing guidance throughout project lifecycles, addressing concerns with a client‑first mindset.

Required profile

• Mid‑level professional with strong relationship‑building and consultative selling skills.
• Ability to work independently, exercise discretion, and make judgment calls.
• Excellent communication in English; remote work experience preferred.
• Self‑motivated, growth‑oriented, and comfortable navigating complex client needs.
