Environmental Chemist

About the role

GHD is seeking an Environmental Chemist to join its Contamination Assessment & Remediation team in Santiago. You will support the delivery of environmental solutions by coordinating and implementing laboratory‑based projects that protect water, energy and urban environments.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare Quality Assurance Project Plans (QAPP) and ensure adherence to defined quality systems.
• Validate analytical data results and monitor laboratory certifications.
• Assist in preparing GHD laboratory scoping documents.
• Provide technical assistance to project teams and partner laboratories.
• Proactively update your manager on progress, improvement opportunities and potential issues.
• Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with internal and external teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, Natural Resources or Applied Science.
• 1–2 years of environmental laboratory experience, preferably in analytical bench chemistry.
• Experience working in a large or global professional services organization.
• Ability to manage multiple enterprise‑wide projects.
• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English.
