Estates Officer – Sustainability

About the role

The NHS Fife Estates Department is recruiting a permanent Estates Officer (Sustainability) based at Victoria Hospital. The role will support the sustainability agenda across all Fife Estates sites, driving environmental improvement within a healthcare setting.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and monitor sustainability strategies for estate assets.
• Lead projects that reduce carbon emissions, waste and resource use.
• Provide advice and guidance to clinical and non‑clinical teams on sustainable practices.
• Collect and analyse environmental performance data and produce regular reports.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to embed sustainability into everyday operations.

Required profile

• Previous experience in sustainability management, preferably within a healthcare environment.
• A relevant degree or equivalent qualification.
• Legal right to work in the United Kingdom.
