Freelance Medical Science Liaison – Oncology

About the role

This freelance position supports oncology clinical studies across Southern and Western Europe. Working field‑based, you will engage investigators, site teams and key opinion leaders to accelerate patient enrolment and ensure high‑quality trial execution.

Key responsibilities

• Engage with investigators, site teams and KOLs throughout the region.
• Support patient recruitment and enrolment for ongoing oncology studies.
• Answer scientific questions related to study protocols and clinical data.
• Provide scientific support to trial sites during study execution.
• Conduct site feasibility and engagement activities.
• Gather and relay site feedback, recruitment challenges and study insights to internal teams.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with oncology investigators and trial sites.
• Travel regularly to support site and KOL interactions.

Required profile

• Strong background in oncology.
• Experience in clinical trials within industry, CRO or field medical environments.
• Proven ability to work directly with investigators, site teams and KOLs.
• Understanding of patient recruitment, enrolment and site engagement processes.
• Independent, field‑based work style with excellent scientific communication.
• Fluent English; additional languages (Spanish, Italian, German) advantageous.
