Freelance Peer Reviewer – Bridge and Structural Engineering

About the role

We are seeking experienced researchers to provide expert peer reviews for journals and publishers in bridge and structural engineering. This freelance position allows you to contribute to the scientific community by evaluating manuscripts for originality, methodological soundness, and relevance.

Key responsibilities

• Assess the novelty and contribution of submitted manuscripts.
• Evaluate study design, methodology, and reproducibility.
• Verify that literature reviews are comprehensive and up‑to‑date.
• Analyze results and conclusions for clarity and scientific validity.
• Provide constructive, written feedback to authors.
• Recommend acceptance, revision, or rejection to the journal editor.

Required profile

• Doctorate (PhD/MD) or equivalent advanced degree in a relevant discipline.
• At least two peer‑reviewed publications in the last two years.
• Strong understanding of research methodologies and ethical standards.
• Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and written communication skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines and maintain confidentiality.
• Prior experience as a peer reviewer is highly desirable.
