Maintenance Engineer – BESS & Solar Projects

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Maintenance Engineer to ensure the reliability and performance of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and photovoltaic solar projects in Copiapó. The role focuses on equipment availability, preventive and corrective maintenance, and rapid incident response.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute preventive and corrective maintenance for BESS and solar PV systems.
• Monitor equipment performance and identify reliability improvements.
• Coordinate with operations and technical teams to resolve incidents quickly.
• Ensure all maintenance work complies with safety, regulatory, and company standards.
• Work with equipment suppliers and service providers to secure quality maintenance services.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, reports, and documentation.
• Support continuous‑improvement initiatives to optimise operational performance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• Experience in maintenance engineering or operations within renewable‑energy projects, preferably solar PV and/or BESS.
• Strong problem‑solving and incident‑management abilities.
• Intermediate English for daily communication with a Chinese team.
• Current residence in Copiapó or Tierra Amarilla and ability to work a 5‑day on‑site schedule.
