Operations Manager – Rapid Access Primary Care

About the role

The Argyll and Bute Health and Social Care Partnership is seeking a dynamic Operations Manager to lead a 12‑month pilot project delivering the Rapid Access Primary Care Service (RAPCS) across the Cowal locality. This role blends strategic oversight with hands‑on operational delivery to reduce pressure on GP practices and improve primary care provision.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, implement and monitor the RAPCS pilot, ensuring timely delivery against project milestones.
• Lead service design, standards, compliance, evaluation and continuous improvement activities.
• Act as the operational lead for quality assurance and regulatory adherence.
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders across a multidisciplinary system.
• Travel throughout Argyll and Bute to attend meetings, engagement events and site visits.

Required profile

• Experience working in complex public‑sector services or health and social care environments.
• Proven leadership ability with a track record of designing and delivering service improvements.
• Strong negotiation skills for driving change across multidisciplinary partnerships.
• Willingness and ability to travel across the region as required.
