Pump Mechanic Technician – Assembly

About the role

The Pump Mechanic Technician is responsible for dismantling, cleaning, inspecting, repairing, and re‑assembling pumps and decoking equipment to meet quality standards and on‑time delivery. The role combines hands‑on mechanical work with precise measurement and documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Follow pre‑job briefings, checklists, and standard procedures.
• Clean reusable parts, document component condition, and remove contaminants.
• Use hand torches and liquid nitrogen where required during teardown.
• Disassemble pumps, replace defective or worn parts, and re‑assemble to specification.
• Inspect components with precision measuring tools and record results accurately.
• Apply primer and finish coatings using spray equipment.
• Capture photographs to document condition and process steps.
• Report quality issues, generate Non‑Conformity Reports, and support corrective actions.
• Communicate with production planners, customers, sales, operations, and engineering teams.

Required profile

• Mechanical or Industrial Technician qualification or 6+ years relevant experience.
• Experience repairing pumps or rotating machinery in a manufacturing environment.
• Personal set of mechanic’s tools, micrometers, and a roll‑around toolbox.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift objects up to 50 lb.
• Willingness to work overtime, including weekends and holidays.
