AI Trainer – Biologist with Python Expertise (Remote, Latin America)

About the role

Kake is building a talent pool of biology professionals who are proficient in Python to help evaluate and improve frontier AI models. This remote, project‑based position is ideal for scientists who enjoy deep technical problem‑solving and want to apply computational tools to push AI boundaries.

Key responsibilities

• Select an appropriate computational biology package and design problems that require its core capabilities (e.g., biophysical models, ODE/PDE systems, biomechanics, or sequence algorithms).
• Develop complete Python solutions for each problem, including all input files, model definitions, and network configurations.
• Define correct numerical outputs and set tolerance thresholds that reflect the biological context.
• Run the problems against AI models in parallel, analyze performance, and adjust difficulty until the AI pass rate is between 10 % and 30 %.
• Tune channel kinetics, stimulation protocols, and solver tolerances iteratively to understand model behavior.
• Submit completed tasks to a senior reviewer in the relevant sub‑field and incorporate feedback before final delivery.

Required profile

• Academic background in Biology or a closely related discipline.
• Minimum of 2 years of hands‑on experience in biology research, applied work, or teaching.
• Strong Python programming skills applied to computational solutions.
• Ability to create problems that cannot be solved without specialized computational biology software.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
• Self‑motivated and able to work independently in a fast‑paced remote environment.
