Backend Developer – Node.js

About the role

Applaudo is looking for a Backend Developer who is passionate about building scalable, high‑performance services that power mission‑critical applications. You will work in an Agile environment, designing reliable backend solutions and collaborating with cross‑functional teams to deliver high‑quality software.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Node.js.
• Build, enhance, and support RESTful APIs.
• Implement asynchronous messaging workflows with RabbitMQ, Kafka, or Amazon SQS.
• Deploy, monitor, and maintain applications on AWS.
• Troubleshoot production issues and provide sustainable solutions.
• Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and technical design sessions.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams in an Agile setting.
• Promote engineering best practices and continuous improvement of backend services.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 4+ years of professional experience developing backend applications with Node.js.
• Strong experience designing and developing REST APIs.
• Experience with messaging technologies such as RabbitMQ, Kafka, or Amazon SQS.
• Proven experience deploying and maintaining applications on AWS.
• Background in distributed systems or microservices architectures.
• Proficiency with Git and Agile development processes.
• Upper‑Intermediate English proficiency or higher.
