About the role
The Chile Peru Purchasing Manager will lead the procurement function across the two countries, ensuring cost‑effective sourcing while maintaining high quality and compliance standards. This role reports to senior leadership and works closely with regional and global teams to align purchasing strategies with corporate objectives.
Key responsibilities
- Lead negotiations with suppliers on price, quality, payment terms, delivery conditions and volumes.
- Ensure proper implementation and administration of supplier contracts and commercial agreements.
- Identify and develop alternative sources of supply to improve competitiveness and reduce costs.
- Manage end‑to‑end procurement operations, guaranteeing business continuity and timely deliveries.
- Collaborate with regional and global procurement teams to leverage synergies and best practices.
- Conduct periodic supplier performance evaluations and maintain accurate commercial information.
- Perform market research and analysis to support strategic purchasing decisions.
- Develop and maintain a reliable supplier base aligned with corporate standards.
- Monitor procurement processes, activities and KPIs in compliance with financial, quality and safety procedures.
- Identify cost‑reduction opportunities and lead savings initiatives.
- Oversee the full purchasing cycle from order issuance to receipt of goods and supplier payment.
- Drive operational efficiency improvements related to supplier services and sourcing processes.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and ISO 50001 standards, and energy management requirements.
Required profile
- University degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Supply Chain or a related field.
- Proven experience in procurement or purchasing, preferably within Chile, Peru or the broader Latin America region.
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- Ability to work cross‑functionally with regional and global teams.
- Fluency in Spanish and English, both written and spoken.
- Solid understanding of ISO standards and compliance requirements.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to conduct market research and cost analysis.
- Excellent organizational skills and the capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
