Cloud Solution Architect (People Manager Role)

About the role

Microsoft is seeking a Cloud Solution Architect at manager level to lead a team of architects who help customers achieve business and technology goals using Microsoft cloud solutions. The role combines technical leadership with people management, requiring direct customer engagement and collaboration with technical and business decision‑makers.

Key responsibilities

• Drive operational excellence across customer engagements, ensuring governance, risk management, compliance and alignment with business objectives.
• Lead the team in identifying cross‑solution opportunities that accelerate cloud adoption, security, resilience, AI innovation and customer value.
• Ensure delivery of well‑architected, secure, cost‑optimized solutions that drive adoption, retention and expansion.
• Remove blockers, mitigate risks and resolve complex technical challenges to maximize business outcomes.
• Coach architects to translate customer challenges into innovative Microsoft solutions delivering measurable ROI.
• Build trusted relationships with technical and executive stakeholders, influencing technology strategy and solution adoption.
• Act as the voice of the customer, sharing insights, identifying trends and influencing product roadmaps.

• Strong customer‑centric mindset with the ability to engage senior business and technical leaders.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills, capable of building collaborative relationships across Microsoft and with external partners.

Required skills

• Deep knowledge of Microsoft cloud platforms and services (e.g., Azure).
• Experience designing secure, scalable, cost‑optimized cloud architectures.
• Understanding of cloud security, resilience, and AI integration.
