Commissioning Supervisor

About the role

Bechtel is seeking a Commissioning Supervisor to lead startup planning and execution for mining and metals projects in Santiago. The role involves coordinating with project management, engineering, construction and client teams to ensure successful start‑up and early‑life operations.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the Startup Discipline Lead, supervising up to six direct reports.
• Develop and integrate startup plans, identify risks and trends, and manage progress reporting.
• Coordinate startup‑related engineering, construction and client activities both from the office and on‑site.
• Assist in the preparation of project proposals and operation manuals.
• Oversee startup and operational activities for assigned areas on small to medium‑size projects or designated portions of larger projects.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading commissioning or startup activities on small to medium projects (typically <$250 million).
• Ability to manage a small team (up to six members) and collaborate with multidisciplinary stakeholders.
• Familiarity with mining and metals project environments.
• Strong risk identification and mitigation skills.
