Communications Specialist

About the role

The Communications Specialist will support Lundin Mining’s corporate communications strategy across Chile and the wider South America region. Reporting to the Director of Communications in Vancouver, the role works closely with site teams, functional leaders and external partners to ensure consistent, high‑quality messaging that builds trust and enhances the company’s reputation.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and integrate external and internal communications campaigns on topics such as health and safety, sustainability, values and culture.
• Support regional integration by aligning messaging across sites and functions.
• Plan and coordinate LinkedIn Chile content in collaboration with corporate and site communications teams.
• Liaise with third‑party agencies to produce design and digital assets that follow brand guidelines.
• Assist in creating and executing an annual media‑relations plan for Chile and South America, identifying proactive opportunities and handling media inquiries.
• Build and maintain relationships with national and regional media outlets.
• Coordinate media training and briefing for designated spokespeople as needed.
