Construction Coordinator – Rebar

About the role

The Construction Coordinator – Rebar will oversee subcontractor planning, safety, quality and technical activities on a complex mining project. Working on‑site at the Escondida location, you will ensure that construction operations align with overall project schedules and are executed safely.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and organize subcontractor activities, including schedules, resource charts, and material/equipment requirements.
• Review subcontractor construction methods, manning charts and ensure compliance with drawings, specifications and vendor requirements.
• Coordinate construction impacts on external interfaces to keep them in line with the overall project timeline.
• Enforce field construction policies, procedures and work rules.
• Support Construction Field Engineers, Foremen and Craft Professionals in interpreting engineering and vendor documents.
• Assist in the coordination of engineering inputs related to rebar installation and overall construction sequencing.

Required profile

• Experience monitoring subcontractor activities on medium to high‑complexity projects.
• Ability to work with multiple stakeholders and manage on‑site construction coordination.
• Strong understanding of construction safety, quality and technical documentation.
• Capability to support field teams in interpreting design and vendor documents.
