Conventional Machine Operator

About the role

Flowserve is seeking an experienced Conventional Machine Operator to produce and modify precision mechanical parts using traditional machine tools. The role involves operating a range of equipment, ensuring product quality, and adhering to safety and compliance standards.

Key responsibilities

• Operate conventional machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, planers, and slotting machines.
• Prepare, assemble, and adjust parts and machines according to detailed specifications.
• Use precision measuring equipment (micrometer, caliper, dial indicator) to verify dimensions.
• Interpret technical drawings in both metric and imperial units, including geometric tolerances.
• Perform basic maintenance and minor repairs on equipment.
• Follow operating procedures, quality standards, and HSE safety regulations.
• Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively across departments.

Required profile

• Mechanical Technician qualification (mandatory).
• Minimum 3 years of experience operating conventional machine tools.
• Ability to read and interpret inch‑based drawings.
• Strong focus on safety and quality.
• Willingness to work overtime when required.
