Country Manager – Sales Engineer for Industrial Gearboxes

About the role

We are seeking an entrepreneurial Country Manager – Sales Engineer to lead Kumera’s gearbox business in Chile. You will act as the sole local representative, responsible for building the market, managing customer relationships and ensuring high‑quality service delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Represent Kumera in Chile as the primary contact for customers, partners and stakeholders.
• Develop and grow the sales pipeline, negotiate contracts and expand the installed base.
• Collaborate closely with the local agent to coordinate sales, service and after‑sales activities.
• Drive after‑sales business including spare parts, maintenance, upgrades and service agreements.
• Support customers during installation, commissioning and service projects.
• Build and maintain a strong local network of decision‑makers at site‑operations, engineering and management levels.

Required profile

• Proven experience selling or servicing industrial gearboxes or similar mechanical equipment.
• Strong understanding of gearbox mechanics and ability to read technical drawings.
• Experience working with agents, distributors or partner networks.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work independently at a country level.
• Fluent in English and Spanish.
