Data Science Consultant

About the role

EPAM is looking for a senior Data Science Consultant to lead the design, development, and delivery of advanced machine‑learning and AI solutions for its clients. The role bridges business challenges with cutting‑edge AI technologies, driving adoption and creating measurable impact across organizations.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and strategic direction for ML/AI initiatives in client engagements.
• Plan, design, and deliver responsible AI systems aligned with client objectives.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, mentoring data scientists and engineers.
• Engage with senior stakeholders to translate business problems into AI solutions and secure project funding.
• Monitor emerging ML/AI technologies, assess regulatory implications, and recommend innovative approaches.
• Shape solution scope, pricing, and transition projects from sales to delivery.
• Support sales and pre‑sales activities, including RFP responses and proposal creation.

Required profile

• Minimum 12 years of experience in data analytics, machine learning, and AI leadership roles.
• Proven track record designing and implementing production‑grade ML/AI solutions.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary, geographically distributed teams.
• Strong communication skills for both technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Familiarity with regulated industries and related compliance considerations.

Required skills

• Python programming.
• ML frameworks such as PyTorch and TensorFlow.
• SQL for data manipulation.
• Cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
