Director I – Contract Functional Specialist

About the role

Fluor is seeking a Director I to lead functional contract activities for its government‑focused projects. The role will support high‑value technical solutions for U.S. agencies such as the DOE, NNSA, DoD and the Intelligence Community, driving collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the planning, execution and delivery of contract‑related functional work for government contracts.
• Coordinate with engineering, project management and client stakeholders to ensure compliance with agency requirements.
• Develop and implement strategies that align with Fluor’s commitment to innovative, sustainable solutions.
• Manage risk, schedule and budget performance for assigned contracts.
• Mentor and guide senior staff to foster a collaborative work environment.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading functional contract work in a government contracting environment.
• Strong understanding of U.S. government agency processes (DOE, NNSA, DoD, Intelligence Community).
• Demonstrated ability to manage large, complex projects and multidisciplinary teams.
• Eligibility to work in the country of assignment.
