Director of Finance

About the role

PriceSmart is seeking a seasoned finance leader to drive financial strategy and operational excellence for its retail footprint in Chile. Reporting to the Country Manager, you will provide comprehensive financial oversight and partner with key business functions to support growth.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage annual budgets, forecasts, and financial models, delivering variance analysis and actionable recommendations.
• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring full compliance with IFRS, US GAAP, and local GAAP.
• Design, update, and maintain internal control procedures and SOPs to mitigate risk and ensure audit readiness.
• Serve as the primary finance business partner for Operations, Buying, and Logistics, translating data into operational insights.
• Manage end‑to‑end treasury activities, monitoring cash flow and working capital to optimize liquidity.
• Lead, mentor, and evaluate the finance team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• 10+ years of finance experience, preferably in retail, distribution, e‑commerce or consumer goods.
• 3+ years in a senior finance leadership role.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
