End-User Computing Tier 1 Support Technician

About the role

The End-User Computing Tier 1 Support Technician provides first‑line assistance to employees, handling technical inquiries via phone, email or ticketing system. The role focuses on troubleshooting hardware, software and network issues, while ensuring a smooth user experience for both onsite and remote staff.

Key responsibilities

• Manage user accounts and permissions.
• Troubleshoot and support laptops, desktops and peripheral devices.
• Set up, maintain, repair and distribute PC hardware.
• Use a ticketing system to log, prioritize and resolve incidents within SLA targets.
• Guide users through problem‑solving steps and advise on best practices for remote work.
• Create and maintain Knowledge Base articles and contribute to special projects.
• Occasionally travel for initial training or site builds, requiring reliable transportation.

Required profile

• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Intermediate to advanced technical aptitude and ability to convey technical concepts.
• Solid data‑gathering and analytical skills.
• Adaptability, stress tolerance and self‑leadership.
• 1‑3 years of customer service experience and 1‑3 years in software support or SaaS environments.

Required skills

• Microsoft Office suite.
• PC hardware installation, maintenance and repair.
• Network laptop/computer troubleshooting.
• Ticketing/help‑desk tools.
