Engineering Team Leader

About the role

We are seeking an Engineering Team Leader to head a small, high‑performing group of engineers in Chile. The role blends hands‑on software development with people leadership, driving product delivery, technical decision‑making and the adoption of AI‑powered workflows in a fully remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of 3‑5 engineers, ensuring high‑quality delivery and healthy dynamics.
• Contribute directly to product development while balancing leadership duties.
• Own hiring, onboarding, and continuous development of team members.
• Provide regular feedback, coaching and mentorship.
• Drive planning, prioritisation and execution to meet product outcomes.
• Act as the primary spokesperson for the team, aligning with stakeholders.
• Define and implement AI‑driven engineering workflows to improve speed, quality and scalability.
• Introduce verification mechanisms such as testing, evaluation and guardrails.
• Collaborate across functions to enhance engineering processes and system design.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing 2‑5 engineers with responsibility for performance and delivery.
• Strong backend engineering background with production‑grade systems.
• Demonstrated ability to ship secure, scalable, reliable software.
• Experience designing or adopting automation, workflow orchestration or agentic systems.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to align engineering, product and business stakeholders.
