Environmental & Remediation Project Coordinator

About the role

GHD is seeking an experienced Environmental & Remediation Project Coordinator to join its Contamination Assessment and Remediation Group in Santiago, Chile. The role will support oil & gas clients through the planning, execution and close‑out of environmental assessment and remediation projects.

Key responsibilities

• Lead delivery of environmental projects for oil & gas facilities, defining scope, schedule, budget and resourcing from initiation to close‑out.
• Manage day‑to‑day project execution, monitoring performance, risks, issues and changes while coordinating internal teams and external partners.
• Provide regular communications and reporting on progress, financial performance, regulatory obligations and upcoming milestones.
• Coordinate vendors, subcontractors and partner teams to ensure consistent field execution, site access, health & safety and quality standards.
• Support digital field data collection, standardized reporting workflows and contribute to dashboards and evidence packs for project visibility.
• Prepare and review technical and project deliverables, including reports, client updates and regulatory documentation.
• Proactively manage project risks, deviations and client issues using agreed controls and escalation pathways.

Required profile

• Proven experience coordinating environmental assessment and remediation projects for oil & gas or related energy‑sector clients.
• Strong ability to manage scope, schedule, budget and risk across multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent communication skills for reporting to clients and internal stakeholders.
• Experience working with vendors, subcontractors and external partners in field environments.
• Familiarity with digital data collection and reporting processes in an environmental context.
