Financial Controller

About the role

The Financial Controller will oversee all financial activities of IC Markets Global in Chile, ensuring compliance with Chilean accounting standards, regulatory and tax regulations, and statutory reporting requirements. This role works closely with the Finance Team in the UAE and supports the company’s growth in the Forex and CFD market.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure accurate and timely closing of monthly financials and reporting to the Finance Team in the UAE.
• Oversee the general ledger, including account reconciliations and compliance with accounting standards.
• Prepare regulatory returns and other submissions to relevant authorities.
• Perform intercompany and intra‑group reconciliations and book intercompany invoices.
• Monitor budgets, forecasts, banking relationships and cash flow.
• Process supplier invoices in coordination with the AP Team in the UAE.
• Process payroll, manage deductions, contributions and ensure compliance with Chilean payroll laws.
• Liaise with auditors to ensure smooth audit processes.
• Undertake ad‑hoc assignments as requested by management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 5‑7 years of experience in accounting or finance roles.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and Chilean tax regulations.
• Experience working with regulated brokers in the CFD/Forex space.
• Experience with regulated entities under the Chile Financial Market Commission.

Required skills

• Proficiency with accounting systems such as Xero.
• Strong command of Microsoft Office applications.
• Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
• Understanding of Chilean tax regulations.
