Franchise Store Buyer – Assortment & Planning

About the role

adidas is seeking a Senior Analyst Buying & Planning to lead assortment, buying and inventory planning for its franchise store network. The role transforms data, consumer insights and commercial opportunities into buying strategies that optimise sell‑through, profitability and customer success.

Key responsibilities

• Lead seasonal merchandise planning and own Open‑to‑Buy (OTB) management, ensuring alignment with financial and inventory targets.
• Define and maintain assortment strategies by category, channel and store cluster, managing SKU lifecycle and segmentation.
• Develop article‑level buying recommendations based on sales performance, inventory health, demand forecasts and market trends.
• Partner with Key Account Managers to build commercial plans, support forecasting discussions and construct seasonal business targets.
• Monitor weekly in‑season performance, identify risks and opportunities, and support trading decisions focused on never‑out‑of‑stock (NOS) products.
• Track purchase order creation, allocation and fulfillment, driving corrective actions to ensure timely execution.

Required profile

• Proven experience in buying, assortment planning and OTB management for retail or franchise environments.
• Strong analytical ability to translate data and consumer insights into actionable buying strategies.
• Experience collaborating with finance, trading, supply‑chain and key‑account teams.
• Ability to manage SKU lifecycle, product segmentation and seasonal planning cycles.
• Familiarity with inventory productivity metrics and commercial plan development.
