Housekeeping Manager

About the role

The Housekeeping Manager is responsible for delivering an exceptional guest experience through impeccable cleanliness and visual standards aboard a cruise ship. This role leads a team of housekeeping staff, ensuring premium service that is both memorable and consistent.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all cabin and public area cleaning operations to meet brand and safety standards.
• Manage, train, and motivate housekeeping supervisors and crew members.
• Ensure proper handling, storage, and usage of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Maintain compliance with safety, quality, environmental, and USPH guidelines.
• Monitor guest satisfaction metrics and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits to guarantee flawless execution of services.

Required profile

• 2‑3 years progressive housekeeping managerial experience, preferably in an upscale hotel, resort, or cruise ship.
• Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, business administration, or related field is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, chemical safety, and equipment handling.
• Experience with talent assessment, leadership development, and HR policies.
• Ability to make effective decisions and maintain a positive work environment.
