Inventory Planning Analyst – Antofagasta

About the role

Glencore is seeking an Inventory Planning Analyst to coordinate and plan material inventories for its copper operations in South America. The role ensures service‑level compliance, optimises working capital and supports maintenance teams through demand analysis and predictive replenishment.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse, control and proactively optimise regional inventory levels.
• Maintain service‑level and material availability for user areas, especially maintenance.
• Develop demand‑forecasting methodology and classify materials based on consumption and maintenance strategy.
• Monitor key performance indicators and drive continuous improvement.
• Ensure alignment with global policies, standards and strategic objectives.
• Collaborate with regional Supply Chain management and related functions.
• Attend operations sites at least one day per week and provide on‑site support.

Required profile

• Degree in Commercial, Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in inventory or materials management within the mining sector.
• Proven ability to implement and coordinate inventory optimisation projects.

Required skills

• Intermediate proficiency with Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Word and Access.
• Experience using ERP systems, preferably SAP.
