Investigations Specialist – LATAM

About the role

Binance is expanding its Investigations team across Latin America. The role focuses on crypto‑related investigations, collaborating with law‑enforcement agencies and shaping processes that can lead to prosecution of illicit actors.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze customer account data, on‑chain and off‑chain transactions, and account characteristics to assess activity.
• Conduct open‑source research (OSINT) to gather data for investigations and due‑diligence.
• Identify trends in abnormal or malicious activity and map networks of bad actors.
• Document research steps, data sources, and conclusions in clear reports.
• Liaise with internal teams to exchange information and support investigations.
• Provide feedback to relevant departments to improve Binance’s security framework.

Required profile

• 3+ years of law‑enforcement experience.
• 3+ years in cyber‑crime or financial investigations with a proven track record.
• Strong understanding of cryptocurrencies, blockchain networks, and DeFi.
• Excellent written communication and ability to analyse large data sets.
• Problem‑solving mindset and ability to think outside the box.
