Lead Robotics Validation Engineer

About the role

The Robotics Operation and Integration team within SoftServe Robotics Group is seeking a Lead Robotics Validation Engineer. You will define, design, and execute validation frameworks for advanced robotic systems spanning hardware, software, and cloud integration, ensuring performance, reliability, and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop validation solutions for diverse robotic platforms including humanoids, mobile robots, arms, and drones.
• Build and validate rapid prototypes as well as production‑ready robotic solutions.
• Test robotic systems in simulation environments and real‑world settings.
• Integrate robots with cloud services and automate testing workflows.
• Research and experiment with cutting‑edge navigation, sensing, and decision‑making technologies.
• Collaborate across hardware, software, and cloud teams to define validation metrics and improve product reliability.

Required profile

• Degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of robotics principles, control systems, and algorithms.
• Experience in software testing and QA for embedded and robotic systems.
• Detail‑oriented, analytical mindset with strong problem‑solving skills.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively across hardware, software, and cloud domains.

• SLAM, localization, mapping, path planning, sensor fusion (LiDAR, IMU, visual, odometry, radar, GPS)

• HIL/SIL testing frameworks and cloud‑based robotics management systems
• Containerisation and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
• CI/CD integration (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI)
• Data‑visualisation tools (Grafana, PlotJuggler or custom dashboards)
