Lead Senior Estimator - Data Center Construction

About the role

Turner & Townsend is looking for a Lead Senior Estimator to drive cost planning and estimating for large‑scale data centre construction programmes. The role will support the delivery of complex projects from concept through detailed design, ensuring accurate cost information for decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Develop cost plans and detailed estimates from concept to design stages, collaborating with internal and external teams.
• Present updated cost plans at design milestones and prepare leadership presentations for pre‑construction teams.
• Provide programme‑level estimates for specific scopes, including mining or industrial projects.
• Coordinate and supervise support staff, reviewing design changes and new technologies for cost impact.
• Analyse cost data from completed projects to inform cost model trends and value‑engineering assessments.
• Deliver life‑cycle costing models and assess cost‑effectiveness of alternative products.
• Support training of internal and external estimating teams on tools and templates.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering or a related discipline.
• 10+ years of experience in construction cost management roles such as Cost Manager, Quantity Surveyor, Estimator or Cost Engineer.
• Proven track record of conceptual estimating and pre‑construction services for mining or industrial projects.
• Strong knowledge of technical construction matters and value‑engineering principles.
• Excellent communication skills and advanced proficiency in English.
