Mid-Level Full Stack Software Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a mid‑level full‑stack software engineer to help rebuild Xe’s cross‑border payments platform. You will own features end‑to‑end, from API design and UI implementation to backend services, production reliability and launch.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and ship full‑stack features that move money and manage multi‑currency balances across onboarding, KYC/KYB, payment initiation, FX and settlement.
• Build and maintain customer‑facing interfaces and the services that power them.
• Own production services, including reliability, observability, on‑call rotation and incident response.
• Collaborate with product, design and compliance teams from problem framing through launch.
• Use AI‑assisted coding tools (Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code, etc.) daily for prototyping, refactoring, testing and documentation.
• Modernize legacy components by migrating them to the new stack together with architects and team leads.

Required profile

• 3–6 years of experience building production web applications end‑to‑end.
• Strong frontend skills with Vue.js, React or equivalent.
• Backend experience in C#/.NET preferred; Java, Kotlin, Go or similar OOP languages also acceptable.
• Solid understanding of SQL and relational databases.
• Hands‑on experience deploying on AWS using services such as SQS, DynamoDB, S3, ECS and Lambda.
• Proficiency in writing automated tests and using CI/CD pipelines.
• Excellent communication and teamwork across engineering, product and design.
