National Business Development Manager - Logistics

About the role

As a National Business Development Manager in Contract Logistics at Kuehne+Nagel, you will drive new business growth by building client relationships, managing a robust sales pipeline, and leading RFQ/RFP processes. You will work closely with internal teams to deliver integrated logistics solutions that meet customer expectations and support global trade.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and develop sales opportunities within key customer organisations to create value for Kuehne+Nagel Contract Logistics.
• Maintain a transparent pipeline in the CRM system, aligned with local and regional strategies.
• Lead RFQ/RFP preparation, coordinating with support areas to ensure accurate and competitive responses.
• Manage administrative and reporting tasks to provide visibility on pipeline status, risk, and forecast accuracy.
• Cross‑sell the full suite of Kuehne+Nagel services, positioning integrated logistics, transport and supply‑chain solutions.
• Monitor market trends and competitors to uncover growth opportunities and inform strategic positioning.
• Collaborate with operational teams to translate customer requirements into executable solutions.
• Drive customer engagement initiatives such as workshops, business reviews and networking events.
• Promote continuous improvement by sharing best practices and leveraging data analytics.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Business Administration or a related field.
• Proven experience in business development or sales within logistics or supply‑chain environments.
• Strong communication and relationship‑building skills with key customer contacts.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CRM systems for pipeline management.
• Ability to analyse data and generate insights for decision‑making.
