Project Accountant

About the role

The Project Accountant will lead billing and accounting processes for a mining and metals project, reporting to the Project Accounting Manager. Based in the project office in Santiago, occasional travel to the jobsite may be required.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and ensure monthly billings are performed in accordance with contract terms.
• Resolve outstanding billing and accounting issues, escalating when necessary.
• Perform reconciliations to align cost and revenue between the accounting system and downstream dashboards.
• Assist with audit queries, both internal and external.
• Identify process improvement opportunities and develop documentation for new solutions.
• Provide training to junior staff on billing and accounting procedures.
