Project Management Finance Analyst

About the role

The Project Management Finance Analyst ensures the accuracy and integrity of project financial data within GHD's accounting system and oversees timely client invoicing. This role supports project managers and directors by analysing financial performance and promoting project financial success.

Key responsibilities

• Review draft contracts for invoicing terms, project costing, retention, prevailing wage, sub‑consultant rates, unit pricing, etc.
• Provide historical project data and charge rates for fee estimates and proposals.
• Serve as primary contact for client accounting staff, handling financial data inquiries and delivering exceptional customer service.
• Set up and maintain project and client billing information, ensuring accurate costing for revenue recognition.
• Reconcile, inactivate, and close project data as required.
• Assist with timesheet verification, billing data provision, and collection calls on outstanding debts.
• Prepare, review, and distribute accurate client invoices, attaching necessary backup documentation.
• Maintain and update MIS with collection data and archive client invoices.

Required profile

• Experience handling project financial data and using accounting systems.
• Familiarity with client invoicing processes and project costing.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work with project teams and external clients.
