Project Manager – 5G Network Services

About the role

China Mobile International is looking for a Project Manager to lead the delivery of 5G network projects within its fast‑growing ICT team. You will work on‑site with customers and internal teams to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required technical specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate internal and external resources for construction, operation, and maintenance of 5G service support systems.
• Organise system construction, acceptance, optimisation, expansion, and monitoring of 5G IP‑Transmission (IPRAN), router, switch and firewall equipment.
• Research key technologies, design solutions and define protocols for 5G integration.
• Participate in cutting‑edge 5G IP‑Transmission research and execute technical planning, construction, and O&M tasks.
• Lead solution design, planning and monitoring for 5G enterprise private networks.
• Provide technical guidance to customers on installations, upgrades and maintenance.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve on‑site issues using customer feedback.
• Deliver training sessions and document technical procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related field (preferred).
• Minimum 3 years of experience in network maintenance for a service provider.
• Strong communication, problem‑solving abilities and willingness to travel.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

• Datacom & Optical technologies, MPLS, OTN.
• Datacenter infrastructure: x86/ARM/MIPS servers, hypervisor, Fibre Channel, distributed storage, hyper‑convergence, VxLAN.
• Network security systems, national security regulations, multi‑site HA, disaster recovery, DCI.
• 5G fundamentals: RAN, MEC/UPF, lightweight 5GC, front/mid/back‑haul.
• Telecommunications core networks, cloud, 5GC/EPC/IMS.
