Quality Manager

About the role

EssilorLuxottica is seeking a Quality Manager to lead the overall quality performance of a manufacturing plant that produces high‑end ophthalmic lenses and frames. The role covers the full production chain, from raw material intake through melting, processing, final inspection and product release, ensuring compliance with internal standards, ISO requirements and customer expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Apply and monitor quality standards, KPIs and audit processes throughout the plant.
• Analyse and improve product and process quality metrics such as scrap, yield and process capability.
• Manage non‑conformities, deviations and corrective/preventive actions.
• Guarantee product conformity across all production phases.
• Lead continuous‑improvement projects to reduce defects and optimise performance.
• Oversee the ISO 9001 Quality Management System, conduct audits and ensure compliance.
• Serve as the main interface with Central Quality, customers and external auditors.
• Coordinate cross‑functional activities with Production, Maintenance, Engineering and other teams.
• Lead and develop a team of approximately six quality professionals.

Required profile

• Engineering degree.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing quality roles.
• Strong knowledge of quality management systems and audit processes (ISO 9001).
• Proven problem‑solving and root‑cause analysis capabilities.
• Excellent data‑analysis and KPI‑management skills.
• Hands‑on presence on the shop floor and ability to lead cross‑functional initiatives.
