Regional Financial Accountant – Americas

About the role

The Regional Financial Accountant – Americas will be the primary finance contact for Chrysos' operations across the Americas, currently covering Chile and Suriname with upcoming deployments in Peru, Mexico, and Argentina. The role ensures accurate, timely, and compliant accounting for each entity, collaborates with regional and global finance teams, and prepares reporting and statutory obligations.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, verify, and code invoices, matching them to purchase orders or contracts.
• Process payments via checks, ACH, wire transfers, or credit cards, maintaining due‑date schedules.
• Prepare monthly customer invoices, ensure alignment with internal reporting and contracts, and follow up on outstanding payments.
• Reconcile accounts payable sub‑ledger to the general ledger and perform regular bank reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly indirect taxes such as VAT and support month‑end and year‑end closing procedures.
• Respond to vendor inquiries, resolve payment or invoice discrepancies, and maintain strong vendor relationships.
• Build scalable finance processes ahead of new country deployments.

Required profile

• Resident finance professional responsible for multiple entities in the Americas region.
• Experience handling full‑cycle accounts payable and receivable functions.
• Familiarity with statutory reporting and indirect tax preparation.
• Ability to work across several countries and coordinate with global finance teams.
