Remote Legal Assistant – Personal Injury Settlement Support

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Legal Assistant to support a US‑based personal injury law firm. The role focuses on managing the financial side of case settlements, ensuring accurate documentation, and coordinating payments with attorneys, clients, and providers.

Key responsibilities

• Review case expenses, settlement statements, and related financial records.
• Track liens, balances, provider negotiations, and client disbursements.
• Maintain case files in CloudLex and shared folders.
• Coordinate payments, invoices, deposits, and wire transfers.
• Identify and resolve financial discrepancies promptly.
• Respond to settlement‑related inquiries from attorneys, staff, and vendors.

Required profile

• 1–3 years of experience in settlement coordination or similar legal support.
• Familiarity with personal injury law firm processes is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and ability to handle confidential information.
• Excellent organization, communication, and time‑management skills.
• Self‑motivated and able to work independently in a fully remote environment.
