Security Analyst – Remote LATAM (MDR/MTI)

About the role

We are looking for a Security Analyst to join our Barcelona‑based cybersecurity consulting firm’s remote team serving Latin America. The role focuses on Managed Detection and Response (MDR) and Managed Threat Intelligence (MTI) services, helping clients detect, analyse and mitigate threats across complex environments.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and analyse security alerts on EDR/SIEM platforms, performing initial diagnostics to determine the origin and scope of threats.
• Analyse threat intelligence to anticipate potential attacks and provide actionable recommendations.
• Respond to detected incidents, contain threats and apply mitigation measures to minimise impact.
• Generate reports and draft notifications communicating findings and recommendations to clients.
• Collaborate on improving detection rules, reducing false positives and automating tasks with PowerShell, Python or Bash.
• Participate in client meetings, including follow‑ups and kickoff sessions for deployments.

Required profile

• Degree in Engineering, Cybersecurity or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 1 year of experience analysing security alerts on SIEM/EDR platforms.
• Knowledge of Windows and UNIX/Linux system administration.
• Solid understanding of networking protocols such as TCP/IP, DHCP and DNS.
• Strong analytical and logical thinking with attention to detail.
• Fluent English and ability to join a 24/7 on‑call rotation.

Required skills

• Experience with EDR/SIEM tools (CrowdStrike, Microsoft Sentinel, Cortex, Splunk, Elastic ELK, LogRhythm, QRadar, Chronicle, Wazuh).
• Scripting in Bash, Python or PowerShell.
• Windows and UNIX/Linux administration.
• Network protocol analysis (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS).
