Senior DevOps Engineer

About the role

Canals builds software for wholesale distributors, helping them automate and streamline critical business workflows. As a senior DevOps Engineer you will design, implement and maintain the cloud infrastructure that powers the platform, ensuring reliability, security and scalability as the company grows.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain AWS infrastructure (ECS, Lambda, RDS, S3, IAM) to support the platform at scale.
• Improve CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, CircleCI or similar tools for faster, safer deployments.
• Automate provisioning and configuration with Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible.
• Develop observability solutions for logging, monitoring and alerting (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog).
• Collaborate with backend engineers to optimise performance and scalability, owning uptime and deployment quality.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability or Infrastructure Engineering.
• Strong background working with AWS services and container orchestration (ECS or Kubernetes).
• Proven ability to build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure‑as‑code.
• Excellent communication skills and comfort working remotely in a fast‑moving product environment.
